How disrespectful. You were put into power over one of the most powerful nations ever. You had that ability, you swaggering, arrogant jerk, because of tens of thousands of men who died and kept our freedom safe on D-Day.

This is a sign to the normal, average American who loves their country that you just don’t care what they think. These people, in the country you are supposed to be the leader of, have holidays. National holidays to honor the SHARED SACRIFICE of these men and boys. Shared sacrifice much higher than your tax schemes or picking up trash – no – THOSE you honor. They sacrificed themselves to stop evil in the world. The people you lead care enough to shed tears and wave flags in an attempt to honor those who died and those left behind.

Did President Obama go to Point du Hoc to honor veterans? Did Mr. Obama, the one time he did – DID HE BOTHER to put a wreath in the cemeteries? Nope. Did he even VISIT the cemeteries? NOPE. Fact.

But even on top of that, did Obama go south less than one hour flight time to visit Bedford, VA? How about down the street to visit the WWII memorial and lay a wreath at the D-Day section less than 20 minutes driving time from his home?

Nope – he was too busy this year.

He was flying to visit the, as Obama puts it, ultimate arbiters of the future of this country. Hollywood. Raising that money to overcome the “deficit” that doesn’t exist between him and Romney so he isn’t “outspent” like he was truly NOT in 2008.

This year he couldn’t be bothered at all. He was off to visit the rich, effete, elitist snobs who would tell you what to do from their mounts on high to get money to get his power back in November.

The power bought by many of your grandfathers’ blood on those beaches. The ones he couldn’t visit in the cemetery. And THAT is dead bang historical fact. And the money was more important than adding a quick visit that would have honored tens of thousands of dead Americans by simply having Hollywood wait an hour or two more to pay him thousands to have dinner in the same room with him.

Shame on you Obama. (and people wonder why I don’t give him the respect of the title?)

*****While we made a mistake on this column originally in believing a usually good source, we at least admit our mistake and pull bad columns. We still believe that the lack of respect Obama illustrates by going to raise money when he could have made a 20 minute drive and a 20 minute photo op is apparent.

We apologize for the information we accidentally misstated due to a mistaken belief in our source, but after hearing issues we put a note up about our being in the process of doing research. After our due research we couldn’t place all the President’s at the D-Day Memorial in Point Du Hoc, as our source stated. We do however, hold Obama in contempt of his behavior towards veterans of this country for visiting Point Du Hoc for a photo op and not sparing the time to go to the cemeteries.

I wonder if Mr. Obama would bother to be as honest about the myriad of items that we have questions about – or will he just send Jay Carney out to spin how a tax isn’t a tax even when his own lawyers argue that it is.*****
